Coup It Or Lose It! May 2026

Q2 is halfway over. If you've been using your quarterly credits, you're on track. If you haven't touched them since they loaded April 1 — you still have time, but June 30 is closer than it feels.

Two deadlines this month: May 31 for monthly credits, and a preview of the June 30 cliff that catches most people off guard.

Monthly Credits: Use by May 31

These reset every month. Anything unused on May 31 is gone for good.

Amex Platinum

  • $25 Digital Entertainment — Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Peacock, NYT, WSJ, YouTube Premium. If you're subscribed and paying with your Platinum, this is already handled.
  • $15 Uber Cash — loads to your Uber account. Use for rides or Uber Eats.
  • $13.95 Walmart+ — covers the monthly membership. If you're not enrolled, this one takes 5 minutes to set up and runs itself after that.

May total: $53.95

Amex Gold

  • $10 Uber Cash — works for Uber rides and Uber Eats
  • $10 Restaurant Partners — Grubhub, Cheesecake Factory, Goldbelly, Wine.com, Five Guys
  • $7 Dunkin' — coffee, breakfast sandwiches, a bag of beans to use at home

May total: $27

Chase Sapphire Reserve

  • $25 DoorDash — also works on Chase Sapphire Preferred ($25)
  • $10.99 Apple Music — if you're subscribed, this is free
  • $9.99 Apple TV+ — same deal
  • $9.99 DashPass — monthly DoorDash membership credit
  • $10 Lyft — one ride, or save up across months
  • $10 Peloton — app or equipment credit

May total: $75.97

Chase United Cards

  • $20 Instacart — grocery delivery credit (Explorer, Quest, Club, Business variants)
  • $12 Rideshare — Uber or Lyft credit across United cards

Other Monthly Credits

Q2 Quarterly Credits: Use by June 30

These loaded April 1 and expire June 30. You have all of May plus June — but don't wait until the last week.

Amex Platinum

  • $75 Lululemon — shop in-store, online at lululemon.com, or via the app. Check the "We Made Too Much" sale section if you want to stretch it further.
  • $100 Resy dining — book a reservation at any Resy restaurant and pay with your Platinum. The credit applies automatically.

Q2 remaining: up to $175

Amex Gold

  • $50 Resy dining — same deal, any restaurant on Resy

Amex Business Platinum

  • $90 Indeed — job posting credits if you're hiring
  • $50 Hilton — statement credit on Hilton stays

Hilton Cards

Delta Resy Credits

  • $20 ResyDelta Reserve and Delta Reserve Business
  • $10 Resy — Delta Platinum cards

June 30 Warning: Semi-Annual Credits Are Expiring

This is the one that catches people every year. These credits loaded January 1 and expire June 30. That's 8 weeks away.

Amex Platinum

  • $300 Fine Hotels + Resorts credit — $200 in H1 (Jan–Jun), $100 in H2 (Jul–Dec). You have $200 left if unused. Book a prepaid FHR stay to max it out.
  • $50 Saks Fifth Avenue — use it in-store or at saks.com. Shoes, accessories, or beauty products all qualify.

Chase Sapphire Reserve

This is the big one. CSR has $550 in semi-annual credits that most cardholders underuse:

  • $250 The Edit Hotel — book through Chase Travel for a premium hotel stay
  • $150 StubHub — concerts, sports, theater. Summer events are booking up now.
  • $150 Exclusive Tables — book a restaurant through Chase dining

If you haven't touched these, you have 8 weeks. Don't leave $550 on the table.

Hilton Honors Aspire

  • $200 Hilton Resort Credit — spend at a Hilton resort property (H1 portion)

May Game Plan

This week: Check your monthly credits. Uber cash, DoorDash, Apple subscriptions, Walmart+ — most of these are set-and-forget once enrolled. If you're not enrolled, 5 minutes now saves you $54/month.

Weeks 2–3: Use the Q2 credits you haven't touched yet. Book a Resy restaurant now (not in June when it's packed). Shop Lululemon online or note the store credit for whenever you need workout gear.

By May 31: Sweep for anything monthly you haven't used. One Uber Eats order covers $15 Uber Cash. One Dunkin' run covers $7. Small purchases, real money.

Plan for June: Schedule the CSR semi-annual credits before they expire. The Edit and StubHub especially — both require advance booking. Don't wake up July 1 with $550 gone.
