Every Credit Card Rideshare Benefit in 2026

Between Uber Cash credits, Lyft ride credits, and general rideshare statement credits, premium credit cards now cover a significant chunk of your transportation costs. If you hold the right cards, you can get $300+ per year in free rides.

Here's every rideshare benefit, how each one works, and how to combine them.

How Each Credit Works

Amex Uber Credit ($15/month + $20 December)

Available on the Amex Platinum and Amex Gold.

  • $15 in Uber Cash loads automatically on the 1st of each month
  • $20 bonus in December ($35 total that month)
  • Works for Uber rides AND Uber Eats
  • Must add your Amex as payment method in the Uber app
  • Expires at month-end — use it or lose it

The fact that this works on Uber Eats makes it the most flexible rideshare credit. Not commuting this month? Order dinner instead.

Setup: Open Uber app → Wallet → Add your Platinum or Gold as payment method. That's it — credits load automatically.

Chase Lyft Credit ($10/month)

Available on the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

  • $10 in Lyft credits per month, up to $120/year
  • Credits appear in the Lyft app
  • Rides only — no Lyft delivery option
  • Available through 9/30/2027

Setup: Link your CSR in the Lyft app under payment methods. Credits appear automatically.

Chase United Rideshare Credit ($12/month, $18 December)

Available on all Chase United cardsExplorer, Quest, Club, and Business variants.

  • $12 statement credit per month (January–November)
  • $18 in December (extra $6 for holiday travel)
  • Works with Uber OR Lyft — your choice
  • Maximum $150/year
  • Must enroll each calendar year

This is the most overlooked rideshare benefit because people forget to re-enroll. The credit is a statement credit, not app cash — so you pay normally, then see a credit on your Chase statement.

Setup: Enroll through your Chase account each January. Then just use Uber or Lyft with your United card.

Important: You must enroll. If you don't enroll, you get nothing — even if you use rideshare services with the card.

Delta Rideshare Credit ($10/month)

Available on Delta Reserve and Delta Platinum cards.

  • $10 statement credit per month
  • Works with Uber or Lyft
  • $120/year total

Stacking Strategy

Best Two-Card Rideshare Setup: $320/year

CardCreditAnnual
Amex PlatinumUber ($15/mo + Dec bonus)$200
Chase Sapphire ReserveLyft ($10/month)$120
Total$320

Use Uber for most trips (covered by Platinum credit). Switch to Lyft when Uber credit is used up.

If You Hold a United Card Too: $470/year

Add a United Explorer ($150/year rideshare credit) and you're at $470/year in free rides. That's nearly $40/month.

Amex Gold + United Card: $350/year

Don't have a Platinum? The Gold's Uber credit ($200/year) plus a United card's rideshare credit ($150/year) gets you $350/year.

Tips for Maximizing Rideshare Credits

1. Set your default payment card strategically. In the Uber app, set your Amex Platinum/Gold as default to ensure rides use the Uber Cash first. In Lyft, set your CSR to use those credits.

2. Don't forget to enroll for United. This catches people every January. The Chase United rideshare credit requires annual enrollment — add a calendar reminder for January 2.

3. Use Uber Eats when you don't need rides. The Amex Uber credit works on Uber Eats, so in months you're not commuting or traveling, order food delivery instead.

4. Stack with December bonuses. December gives you $35 Uber (Amex) + $18 Chase United + $10 CSR Lyft = $63 in one month. Perfect for holiday party rides.

5. Airport rides are the best use case. A single airport ride often costs $30–$60. One trip can use an entire month's credit in a single ride you'd take anyway.

Common Questions

Can I use the Amex Uber credit for Uber Eats? Yes. Uber Cash works for rides, Uber Eats, and Uber grocery delivery.

Does the Chase Lyft credit work for Lyft Pink/Lyft One? The credit covers ride costs. Lyft membership fees are separate.

Can I combine credits on one ride? No. Each credit is tied to a specific card and app. You can't stack Uber Cash from two different cards on one ride.

What happens if I don't use my Uber Cash this month? It expires. Uber Cash from the Amex credit doesn't roll over month to month.

Does the United rideshare credit work with any rideshare app? It works with Uber and Lyft specifically. Other rideshare services don't qualify.
